Polarized light source applied to improve peak to background ratio
Unlike traditional EDXRF analyzers, NEX CG has designed a unique tightly coupled polarization (CG) optical core that significantly improves signal-to-noise ratio (signal-to-noise). By using secondary target excitation instead of traditional direct excitation, the sensitivity has been further improved.


Greatly reducing background noise and increasing element peak height, the spectrometer can perform trace element analysis on conventional or even difficult sample types. Up to 5 polarizers and secondary targets cover the element range from Na to U with optimal sensitivity.
The excitation source is provided by a 50W Pd anode end window X-ray tube. To achieve maximum stability, the X-ray tube is equipped with a diaphragm so that it can be continuously powered to maintain maximum stability and durability. The uninterruptible power supply (UPS) compensates for fluctuations in the power lines and extends the lifespan of the radiation tube. The advanced counting statistics and high stability design bring extraordinary analytical performance.
